Mrs. Henry Shuckhart Obituary

Mother has passed away.  We kept her with us as long as we could but God in His infinite wisdom called her home.  Martha E. Trobaugh was born in Delphi, Indiana April 23rd, 1846 and died at the home of her son J.M. Shuckhart at Sabin, Wis. Friday morning February 25th at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 3 days.  She was of a family of twelve children coming with her parents to Richland Center, Wis. when she was eight years old, and settled in the town of Bloom.  She was united in marriage to Henry Shuckhart, July 14, 1864.  They settled on a farm adjoining their old homestead where they lived until 17 years ago when her husband died.  Since that time she has been living with her son of Sabin, Wis.  Nine children were born to this union, four of which preceded her in death.  The five children who survive are:  Mrs. W.I. Griffin, Viola, J.M. Shuckhart of Sabin, Mrs. G.W. Deets of Bloom City, W.H. Shuckhart of Bloom and Mrs. D.S. Householder of Greenwood, Wis.  Besides her children there are to mourn her demise one sister, Mrs. Wm. Cale of Richland Center, twenty-four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of friends.  She was a member of the M.E. Church of Bloom City.  Services were held there and interment made in the adjoining cemetery.
